The Heat is ON in California

A few years back, shortly after Pacific Gas & Electric was "deregulated, California had a monster heat-wave. California was forced to buy power on the "spot market". Various unscrupulous "energy traders", some employed by Enron (remember them?) used various methods to manipulate prices so that they made some truly obscene amounts of money.

Looks like it's happening again.

Just one of the many reasons that I'm sure glad I don't live in California anymore.
